I am curious what you think about Stablecoins and was interesting to see it left out.. the article notes that foreign capital may flow out of US assets, treasuries given current political America first climate and likelihood of capital controls.. the thing is the US doesn’t just export treasuries.. they export the actual dollar itself. Foreign countries deal in dollars all the time bc of FX market depth and general ease, simplicity, and trust in the instrument being used for global payments and the trust that the US will bail out foreign Eurodollar issuers through swap lines if need be… so even if money flows out of treasuries, USD will still be flowing, like the blood of the global economy with each major country required to interact to get the necessary oxygen to play on the global stage or die. Therefore if they use Stablecoins, a cheaper and easier way of doing these cross border payments and transfers (hard to build out many integrations with every country and financial infrastructure), Stablecoin issuers will buy the treasuries and money keeps flowing in

It’s fascinating how it all makes so much sense the way you say it. Thanks a bunch.
