Betrays a naive misunderstanding of how price discovery works. Dropping prices for new listings by 40-50pc as suggested here wouldn’t make any difference at all. Retail would still lose a similar amount of money because there is no fundamental value in most projects. Price is the only metric and the only dynamic in 99% of ‘projects’.
