Thanks, Arthur. I always find your writing — slightly tongue-in-cheek in places — thought-provoking and full of useful insight as well as being enjoyable to read.
Do you really think Trump and Bessent will trash the AI trade and push rates higher? It’s certainly possible, given how little conviction the man has and remembering that Trump loves America but not quite as much as he loves Trump.
My instinct is that they muddle through: run the economy hot, describe inflation as temporary, and avoid doing anything that would really damage assets. Once a property developer, always a property developer — and he clearly detests high rates. That scenario is potentially good for your core Bitcoin holding based on negative real rates at least at the front end.
“If you think a WASP takes orders from a Jew, please read more American history.” Trump isnt a WASP. American history has nothing to do with the math on this one
I have sold everything and feels better to be in cash, I too shall revisit in September and think about buying some Bitcoins, but why buy Bitcoin when we can invest in Anthropic and Open Ai next year in September at lower valuation if Ai bubble pops ?
But, a 50% percent drop in the s&p500 pre-elections, would not guarantee losing them? All those 401k's, and their (retired) boomers will not be happy, at all.
Americans are bloodthirsty, war-loving people ? Really man ?
Let me guess—your sources are strictly limited to blockbuster movies ? It’s cute that you're so worried about 'war-loving' Americans, yet you seem totally indifferent to idiocratic regimes that produce piles of corpses by the thousands and millions in record time (Russian, China, Iran, N.Korea, Africans). Your position are fascinating, how much more nonsense you churn out about other things.
This is the most Boomer post I've seen in a while. I can't believe he left out any quotes from Charlie Munger :)
Anyone who believes that we did not attack Iran because of Israels influence is dumb.

The 'I' in IRGC stands for Islamic not Iranian.
(there's absolutely nothing Iranian about them!)
